The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition is a 2016 remastered version of the 2011 game The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, the fifth installment of The Elder Scrolls series. It was released for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 on October 28th, 2016.[1] It was also later released for the Nintendo Switch on November 17th, 2017.
Steam users who already owned all of the game's DLC or owned the Legendary Edition received a free digital copy of the remaster.[3] Like the Legendary Edition, the Special Edition comes with the three DLCs Dawnguard, Hearthfire, and Dragonborn.[4]
Upgrades
Graphical enhancements
Several graphical features of Skyrim were enhanced with the Special Edition, as follows:[5]
- Remastered art and effects
- Volumetric lighting (“God Rays”)
- Dynamic Depth of Field
- Screen-space reflections
- New snow and water shaders
The Special Edition also offers native 4K support for both PC and the PS4 Pro.[6]
Console mods
In September 2016, Bethesda announced that Sony had blocked user-created mods from coming to the PS4 version of the game.[7] However, in October 2016, they stated that Sony had rescinded their block and would allow the usage of player-made mods in the game, and explained the process by which players could create mods on console:[6]
Mods on PlayStation 4 will allow you to modify and create your own content by using our Creation Kit available here. You will not be able to upload external assets with your PlayStation 4 mods, but you will be able to use any assets that come with the game, as most mods do. By creating a Bethesda.net account, you’ll be able to browse and try mods right from within the game.[6]
Other improvements
Bethesda employee Matt Grandstaff stated on Twitter that the Special Edition would be 64-bit.[8] The Special Edition is also the first game in the series to offer use of the Creation Club to purchase mods licensed by Bethesda.[9]
Reception
The Special Edition did indeed offer slight graphical improvements over the original game, as demonstrated by PC Gamer.[10] As of October 29th, 2016, the game has a 60% ('Mixed') rating on Steam. Many reviewers stated that the game did not perform well on their systems.[11]
On October 28th, 2016, a post on /r/skyrimmods on reddit indicated that the Special Edition's audio quality was noticeably worse than in the original.[12] Several online gaming journals also cited this post in articles of their own.[13][14] Bethesda has since confirmed that they are looking to fix this issue by the following week.[15]

If you play The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrimon the PC, then you already know of the massive number of NSFW (Not Safe for Work) game modifications that are present on various websites. The role-playing game, from developer Bethesda, is ripe for this type of change, though many people aren't exactly thrilled about it. However, there is another community out there that absolutely loves to make their game a bit more, ahem, realistic and busty.
Most of these mods do work with Skyrim Remastered, so click away!
FNIS Sexy Move (Link)
This is the mod that is available for anyone who is sick of seeing female NPCs move in a stiff manner. Now, after downloading this, the women in the world of Skyrim will flaunt their stuff and show off the goods a bit more. Hips will swing with this animation replacer.
Sweet and Sexy Lingerie Shop CBBE (Link)
When your character isn't wearing any armor, they need to wear something else, right? The new Lingerie Shop will give you over 40 pieces of lingerie that offer a very specific push up effect exactly where you'd expect on female character models. Character's with a bigger chest will have something a bit more noticeable up front.
TBBP Animation w/Butt Bounce (Link)
When playing in third-person the entire backside of the character is present and accounted for. With this new mod, the player can easily gain a little bounce in their bottom. The 'jiggling' butt should give you something to look at.
Lust Design - Sovngarde Steel Armor (Link)
Everyone knows the old joke: the less armor a female character is wearing within a role-playing game, the higher her defense. This mod keeps that simple principle by offering a very skimpy form of the steel armor within the game. Nothing will be left to the imagination here.
Dark Lilth Sexy Armor (Link)
Much like the Lust Design, this armor gets rid of almost everything that would actually protect someone, say a human being, and enables a larger chest, bigger thighs, and a bouncier booty to enjoy. The clothing is nearly falling off the player models.
Sexy Swimsuit and Bikinis (Link)
CBBE is one of the most popular modifications for the NSFW crowd in Skyrim. This particular mod suite offers new clothing to ensure your female NPC has an increased breast size and the pushup effect to make them look even bigger. Butts look bigger and better, too.
UNP Minidress Collection (Link)
For some, less is more, but for others, a scantily clad woman in a minidress is the epitome of sexy. The UNP collection offers a variety of styles to get your character looking sexier.
Seductress Serana (Link)
Even the creator acknowledges how purely sexual this Serana character appears to be. With 10 hair options, 5 eyes, 3 hair colors, and 4 body types, you can truly get anything you want from this particular mod. It will definitely be sexy.
Project Sekirei Sexy Japanese Clothes (Link)
There are millions of people out there who find the Japanese to be incredibly exotic and sexy. So, it makes sense this modification would appear on Nexus. These clothes are all styled after old-school Japanese dresses and lingerie, but they generally offer the same pushup modification we've seen before.
Sexy Mannequins (Link)
Perhaps living, breathing, moving NPCs are not your thing? Perhaps you'd prefer to play around with a sexy mannequin instead? These body types will allow you to connect various pieces of armor and leave them standing around your house in a creepy fashion.
Latex Corset (Link)
Steel armor is fine and all, but a latex corset just screams 'dragon-slayer'. This black corset is stylish, laced up the middle, and features matching stockings, too. It comes in more than just black, though, so choose any color to get your loins moving.
Sexy Loadscreens (Link)
The loading screens within Skyrim were already pretty great, but this mod makes them a little more enticing. With this variety of pack of sexy screens, you can check out scantily clad humans, elves, and more as you wait for the game to be ready.
Nude Females (Link)
Obviously, the biggest NSFW mod for Skyrim is one that removes the clothing of every single female character within the role-playing game. That is exactly what Nude Females does. These aren't dolls, though. The mod also adds what goes underneath the clothing, too.
Chainmail Bikini (Link)
Again, less is more. Apparently. This chainmail bikini covers the important parts with the thick, metallic fiber, but leaves the rest open to the world. There is very little left to the imagination here.
Hairless and Dirtless Nude Males (Link)
Of course, women NPCs aren't the only ones people want to look at within Skyrim. This particular mod ensures every single male NPC in the game removes their clothing and sheds the dirt that covers their body.
Sexy Robes (Link)
There are two main files to download here, and both of them are very NSFW. The nocturnal robes and archmage robes both show off enough of the female form to ensure everyone can get a peek underneath.
Female Cool Underwear (Link)
The general underwear option within Skyrim when the character is not wearing any form of armor looks rather like a diaper. This mod replaces that with something a little sexier. Imagine a bit of lace and soft cotton.
Lady of Death Set (Link)
When you want to look exquisite with a brand new set of apparel that is more revealing than anything else, then the Lady of Death set could be your best choice. The armor lacks the material one would think normal in protective clothing, leaving the chest wide open.
Sexy Apparel Replacer (Link)
This replaces almost every single clothing option within the game with something a bit different. You can choose what your character will wear - or will barely wear, for that matter. The armor shows off plenty of cleavage and thongs.
Smooth Male Body (Link)
Instead of having a rough male character, this mod gives every male NPC in the game the chance to have silky smooth skin. If you think the abs and chest of a warrior should shine and glisten, now they can.
Sporty Sexy Sweat (Link)
Being a warrior is tiring work, so it is completely normal to sweat more than normal. Now, with this modification, your character can sweat, allowing their body to glisten and appear sexier than normal.

Female Textures Renewal (Link)
When you want your female to actually look more realistically feminine, this is the mod you download. It improves the textures to 2K, enhancing almost every inch of the female body in Skyrim.
Caliente's Beautiful Body Edition (CBBE) (Link)
Of course, not a single NSFW mod would be possible without CBBE, which adds in the perfect foundation for NPC and character animations and looks. Almost every single mod is compatible, too, so you can enjoy the sleek, slender look of your characters with any armor.
Dimonized UNP Female Body (Link)
When you're looking for a petite, sexy figure for your character, then UNP is the mod to download. You can even choose from smaller or larger breast sizes. It is not realistic eye candy, and may not even by human-like, but it certainly looks good.
Temptress Race (Link)
The Temptress race will allow the player to select a custom race at the beginning of the game. It has a few pre-requisites to download, but those are easy enough to acquire. You can even have a Temptress as your companion.
Maids II: Deception (Link)
Upon downloading this mod, the player will be notified of a maid cleaning their player home. This maid, obviously being NSFW, can be dressed in a variety of skimpy clothing while she goes about her business. More maids can be unlocked over time.
Better Males (Link)
This is similar to the previous male body enhancement mod, but less well known. Better Males offers:
'Nudes for males. New meshes, feet and hands improved (Beast races supported). Skin cleaned and realistic (Hairy Options). Better and younger faces. Long and beautiful hairs for males.'
Blood and Gore Mods
Enhanced Blood (Link)
When it comes to NSFW mods, not everything has to do with sex - though the vast majority does. EBT ensures Skyrim is a bloodier, messier game overall. When you slay an enemy, the spray of red fluid actually looks realistic now!
Deadly Mutilation (Link)
For everyone wanting to take the Enhanced Blood mod a step further, Deadly Mutilation will allow the removal of body parts from NPCs during combat. Feel like chopping off an arm or head? Well, not you can do just that.
Killable/Lootable Children (Link)
By now, anyone who has played Skyrim for a lengthy period of time probably knows how annoying the small children within the game truly are. Thankfully, this game modification will allow you to cut down those pestering little brats and take whatever they have in their tiny pockets.
If you got a kick out of these mods, check out our other Skyrim mod lists.
The definitive special edition of Skyrim has been out all of a day and already has racked up nearly 300 Xbox One mods at Bethesda's website now that the developer is allowing console mods on newer games.
That number is sure to skyrocket further, considering the untold thousands of mods in existence for the original PC edition. For those who finally got in on the mod action with Fallout 4 on the Xbox One, you may have noticed a lack of certain type of hyper-popular mod.. yep, that's right, there's no console nudie mods for Fallout at all.
It's not clear if that was Bethesda's call or Microsoft's, but either way its not going to be changing for the remastered Skyrim on current gen systems either. Occasionally a nude mod does sneak by under the radar using a different name, but it always get culled eventually as moderators notice and ban them.
Sadly, that does greatly reduces the Not Safe For Work (NSFW) opportunities for Skyrim console mods, but don't fret: it doesn't eliminate them entirely! There's plenty of mods that make things just a bit more racy without going fully nude or sexual, and there's loads of options for making this latest Elder Scrolls entry more mature and violent than was originally intended.
Enhanced Blood Textures
An absolute must for a gritter, gorier version of the Elder Scrolls universe, this mod doesn't just make the blood look better, it ensures there will be plenty more of it on the screen.
New decapitation and death spasm animations are added, in addition to varying levels of blood spurting out depending on how much damage any given attack actually deals. Basically, this is essential day 1 downloading - when and if it finally becomes available for Xbox One / PS4.
Seraphim Female Body Replacer
This one actually already made it over to the console mod realm due to some dedicated (or maybe overeager?) fans who like their female characters to be of the more voluptuous variety.
While the original PC mod had bared breasts, this one obviously doesn't, but everything else appears to have come over to the console version. Seraphim Female Body Replacer is essentially a suite of mods all meshed together, combining some of the best character model changes into one package for more attractive female NPCs across the game.
Caliente's Beautiful Bodies Edition
Perhaps even better than Seraphim's Female Body Replacer, this mod definitely won't make it in its full form as there's a good deal of nudity involved, but it also tweaks all the character bodies in non-nude forms, making them appear better than they did in the vanilla version of the game.
Essentially this modder made custom textures based off photographs of real women to make the bodies appear more realistic, and while the Skyrim Special Edition does get a graphical upgrade, it could always use even more of an eye candy boost.
Better Males
The male equivalent of the Seraphim and Caliente mods, this one has a very strong nude focus, but it does also drastically change the appearance of faces, chests, and hair for all males NPCs. The hanging jumbly bits will obviously have to go, but everything else should be kosher for a console mod one day in the not-too-distant future.
FNIS Sexy Moves
Rather than replacing textures or body shapes, this mod changes how characters move and react when you walk near them. Instead of the typical stiff and mechanical animations, FNIS makes all the female NPCs move more lithely and frequently flaunt their various assets – which you should have improved with the previous mods already, of course!
Relationship Dialog Overhaul
This one's not exactly NSFW, but it's a highly recommended mod that does add in a ton of new insults for rivals to hurl at you, if you like to take a little abuse while playing Skyrim.
It also rather increases the quality of the dialog and offers a more mature approach across the game – and this one has actually landed on consoles already!
Non-Essential Children
Of course the most divisive mod would make this list, with some loving it and others finding it to be too disturbing to contemplate. For a more immersive and dark world, modders quickly got rid of the old Bethesda standby of weirdly making children invincible and unkillable.
With this PC mod that has yet to make it to consoles (and probably won't if Bethesda has anything to say about it..) children can not only be damaged and killed, but also pick pocketed just like any other adult NPC you come across.
Sadly, there's never going to be those Schlongs Of Skyrim or Lover's Lab style mods for consoles (sorry folks, we know how much you like that) until developers and console manufacturers get less uptight about nudity and sexuality in gaming.
That being said, there's plenty of room for NSFW content to arrive if modders are smart about what they include and skirt the line of actual exposed breasts and genitalia.
A full list of currently available SkyrimSpecial Edition console mods can be found right here - what NSFW mod do YOU want to see arrive for Xbox One or PS4 soon?

Skyrim Special Edition: The Best PS4 Mods You Can Get
After a bit of back and forth and lots of deliberation, Sony and Bethesda finally agreed to the implementation of mods on PS4 releases. While we all know that Skyrim offers hours of adventure, you can expand your journey with a handful of amazing mods. Here are the best Skyrim: Special Edition mods available right now.
Ys Spell Tweaks
This mod is perfect for all of you mages out there. Thanks to a few tweaks to spell mechanics, you’ll be able to cast faster, have stronger abilities, and it removes any unnecessarily annoying animations from the casting experience.
Even Better Quest Objectives
This is a pretty straightforward mod that is actually very useful, especially for players journeying into Skyrim for the first time. Instead of just having to rely on the map, you’ll be given detailed descriptions of what to do so you don’t get lost following floating arrows.
Point the Way in Skyrim
Want to travel through Skyrim but don’t want to keep bringing up your map for fear of breaking the immersion? Sometimes that can be difficult since it’s very easy to get lost while walking around, thanks to the lack of signs. Point the Way fixes that by placing hundreds of road signs and even having them pointed in the right directions. No more pause menus for you.
God Gear
So you just want to run through cities killing everything and fearing nobody? Then you might want to throw on some God Gear which is just a set of armor and weapons that have some ridiculously powerful enchantments.
Mortal Wounds: No Health Regeneration & Hardcore Difficulty
If you’re the opposite of the players who want God Gear and want nothing more than a brutal, soul-crushing world, then you may want to check out the Mortal Wounds mod. All combat becomes fast and deadly, and the lack of health regen means you’ll have to be careful how you approach danger and keep a healthy supply of potions.
Disable Cinematic Kills
Cinematic Kills are jaw dropping when you first encounter them, but can start to weigh down on you as you start to pile on the hours. Eventually, they’ll just be an obstacle slowing you down as you carve your way through Skyrim leaving death in your wake, so this mod that disables them will certainly prove to be handy.
Go Away Map Clouds!
Looking at Skyrim’s map will become a constant activity, so it would be great if it was always clear and easy to see. Unfortunately, we have to deal with a thick swarm of clouds that likes to appear over the map making it impossible to discern certain roads and locations. This mod removes those pesky clouds so you can see clearly once more.
Dovahkiin Keep
This is a simple mod that grants you a huge manor full of mannequins and storage for all of your armor and weapons.
Scroll Crafting
The Scroll Crafting mod allows you to craft every scroll in the game giving you access to tons of spells without the need to grind for hours to get your magic up to snuff in Skyrim.
Get Seriously Overstocked And Rich Merchants
Despite all the gold and magical equipment being sold by the merchants of The Elder Scrolls, they always manage to be broke. This mod gives the merchants fives times the gold they usually stock and three times as many items to sell.
150% Jumping & Sprinting
Contrary to the name, this mod allows you to jump 50% higher and run for 50% longer. Just for the amazing hops you’ll now have alone, this download is definitely worth it.
HUNT: Dragon Skulls, A Hunters Of Unusual And New Trophies
HUNT: Dragon Skulls, A Hunters Of Unusual And New Trophies is a mouthful, but it’s worth it. It gives you something to do with all the dragon trinkets and items that you’ll find lots of throughout your adventures in Skyrim. It adds more drops from dragons, and let’s you keep things like skulls as trophies and uses other materials as crafting items.
Legendary Creatures
Think of this as a fan-made expansion that adds eight horrifying monsters for you to battle. Each challenging foe guards brand new armor, spells, and weapons for you to collect.
Stay Arrow Stay
Stay Arrow Stay for PS4 is a great mod for career archers as it makes your world, well, more archer friendly. With this mod, you’ll have an increased chance of picking up arrows from bodies, plus, it lets more arrows appear on screen at once, adding to Skyrim’s immersion and realism.
The Ring of God Mode
Skyrim Special Edition Mods
You can probably tell by the name of the mod that this is going to make you very powerful. It adds a ring you can find in Whiterun that increases Health, Magicka, Carry, and other stats to 99,999, making you an unstoppable killing machine.
Cauldian Race
Perhaps you don’t think there are enough races to choose from in Skyrim. If that’s the case this mod adds the Cauldians, complete with resistances to Fire and Spark damage, as well as new followers found in the world.
Nicer Children
Let’s be honest really quick, the children in Skyrim are downright rude. This mod makes them all a bit nicer by removing some of their less welcome dialogue.
Resurrect Everything
While the ability to resurrect defeated enemies already exists in Skyrim, you were very limited. This mod allows you to resurrect all of your foes, excluding dragons.
Skill Up Cheat Items
This is one of those mods for players who just want to do as they please in Skyrim, as it will remove the immersion that comes through challenge. You’ll find a set of books in Riverwood that will help you instantly max out your abilities and even go beyond Legendary. You’ll also get a ring to help you level up faster.
Think of EasierRider’s Dungeon Pack as a small, free DLC expansion that just adds a handful of cool dungeons. There’s a total of five dungeons that range from small to very long.
Unlimited Werewolf Transformations
You, my friend, are a powerful beast who shouldn’t be confined by the sun and moon, allowed to transform only once per day. Unlimited Werewolf Transformations lets you turn into a beast as often as you please.
Unlimited Shouts
One of the most fun actions in Skyrim is shouting people off of high ledges. This mod allows you to do it without waiting for a cooldown. Unlimited Fus Ro Dahs for the world.
The Gardens of Whiterun
The Gardens of Whiterun is exactly what it sounds like. It adds a lot of plants, insect life, fish, and just greenery all around Whiterun making it a much more beautiful city. You can download it for PS4 here.
Slow and Freeze Time Spells
As its simple name suggests, this mod will add time-freezing and slowing spells to the game, purchasable from a special spell vendor in Markarth.
Immersive Patrols
A lot of mods based around immersion sadly aren’t available on the PS4, but Immersive Patrols for PS4 luckily is. This mod makes all the various factions in Skyrim patrol around in groups together, making these factions in Skyrim feel more lifelike and impactful.
Necromany Overhaul
This mod makes raising the dead a little more fun, removing the level cap and allowing you to summon a permanent undead companion, among other tweaks to the spell school.
Easy Weather Change
Cause over a dozen weather types, including Nightmare Fog, using the spellbooks added by this mod.
Phenderix Magic World DLC
This massive mod goes all out, adding new areas, 400 new spells, tons of new items and more. Not everything will work on PS4, but it’s still a very comprehensive addition.
Easy Lockpicking for the PS4
Lockpicking loses its luster after you’ve done it for the 10 millionth time for some people. If you count yourself among those tired of having to pick locks, Easy Lockpicking for the PS4 makes it dramatically easier to pick any locks you come across.
Dark Water Home
Dark Water Home is a mod for the PS4 that adds a beautiful new livable home by Darkwater Pass. As the modder puts it: “The first time I came out of Darkwater Pass I knew I had to build my home there. A large secluded grounds surrounded by waterfalls centrally located between Windhelm, Whiterun, Ivars, and Riften the Darkwater Home has all the amenities you need without being absurdly large and empty.”
STAR: Triple Gold! A Superior Treasure and Rewards Mod
Get three times the gold from quests, bodies, pockets, chests, and more with this mod.
Believable Crime Radius
Believable Crime Radius for PS4 does exactly what the title hints it. It reduces the vanilla version’s insanely large crime report radius and turns it into something far more realistic. If you’re a career thief, this is one you’ll want to pick up.
Birds and Flocks
This mod is another one that focuses more on making Skyrim prettier, and more immersive. Birds and Flocks, adds detailed flocks of avian creatures all throughout the game.
Multiple Followers System
Keep five followers and five pet followers with you at all times thanks to this mod. Just remember to make a backup save file.
Bridges of Skyrim
Bridges of Skyrim is yet another mod that does exactly as described. Guild wars 2 graphic mod. It makes the bridges in Skyrim prettier, and reflect the region in which they were built.
Skyrim Restored
Skyrim Restored adds a bunch of cut content back into the game including some caves, weapons, a prison, camps and more.
Faster Leveling
If you’re having trouble raising those stats, this Faster Leveling mod will help you get all of those better perks for your character.
Immersive Citizens
This Immersive Citizens mod aims to revamp how the townspeople work by giving them better schedules, interactions, and even a new “survival instinct” feature.
All Map Locations Discovered
Sometimes you just want to see the complete map without having to travel to each and every location. This mod uncovers everything you need to see, so you can plan your trip ahead.
Marry Almost Anyone
Skyrim is one of those games where you can actually marry someone and start a family, although not with every NPC. This mod expands you marriage options and lets you pick more NPCs that were previously non-romanceable.
Point the Way
Want to travel through Skyrim but don’t want to keep bringing up your map for fear of breaking the immersion? Sometimes that can be difficult since it’s very easy to get lost while walking around, thanks to the lack of signs. Point the Way fixes that by placing hundreds of road signs and even having them pointed in the right directions. No more pause menus for you.
God Gear
So you just want to run through cities killing everything and fearing nobody? Then you might want to throw on some God Gear which is just a set of armor and weapons that have some ridiculously powerful enchantments.
